6.3 Accelerated Math

We worked on accelerated math for the first time this year.  Students were assigned objectives that are what we are going to learn in our upcoming unit.  Throughout the unit students are expected to be working on accelerated math on their own time.  They will be given time in class occasionally, but they should work on it at home as well.  As the unit continues, students should be able to pass more objectives.  It does not matter how many tries it takes the student, as long as they complete the objectives by the end of the unit.

6.2 Test (cont.)

Students finished the test on decimals from Friday.  As students finished they used their mental math skills to work on 24 cards.  There is no homework.

Test Tomorrow!

We went over the review and then completed practice problems to prepare for tomorrow's test.  Below is the review and answer key, as well as a practice test and answer key.  The practice test and answer key are a great way to study/prepare for tomorrow's test.

6.2 Review

Students worked on the review for unit 2 on decimals.  It is due tomorrow.  The test will be Friday.  Quizzes on dividing decimals were also passed back.  Students are allowed to complete corrections on a separate sheet of paper to earn half the points back they missed on the quiz.  Quiz corrections must be turned in by Friday.
